Steelers crumble in latest TD NFL Power Rankings

The Steelers fell to the Niners on Sunday and fell in the power rankings on Monday.

This year was going to be different, right? Right? Maybe not. After an offseason of hype, the Pittsburgh Steelers let the San Francisco 49ers come into Acrisure Stadium last Saturday and bully them on both sides of the football to the tune of a 30-7 loss. How will the NFL national media take this loss given how hyped so many of them were for this breakout team?

Our friends over at Touchdown Wire were really high on the Steelers and so this one hit them hard. In their latest power rankings, the Steelers fell from No. 8 to No. 17 and rightfully so. Here’s what they had to say about the performance:

T.J. Watt played great- three sacks, two forced fumbles a fumble recovery and a tackle for loss. Everyone else stunk. After an off-season full of excitement and a preseason that showed a ton of promise, the Steelers laid a massive egg.

There’s no time for the Steelers to sit around and feel sorry for themselves. Pittsburgh now has to get right and prepare to take on the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football. No Steelers team under head Mike Tomlin has started the season 0-2 and made the playoffs. The season could be on the line in less than a week.
