One quiet advantage the Pittsburgh Steelers have had in the past when it comes to their schedule has been with distance. NFL schedule makers have been kind to Pittsburgh when it comes to their road schedule and not force them to rack up the frequent flyer miles some teams do.

This was changed somewhat over the last two years with trips to the west coast but 2020 has Pittsburgh back on track to stick closer to home than most teams.

Here’s how the 7,736 miles the Steelers will travel total for road games this season breaks down.

@ New York Giants 738 miles

@ Tennessee Titans 1,124 miles

@ Baltimore Ravens 496 miles

@ Dallas Cowboys 2,446 miles

@ Jacksonville Jaguars 1,658 miles

@ Buffalo Bill 430 miles

@ Cincinnati Bengals 578 miles

@ Cleveland Browns 266 miles

By comparison, the Steelers travelled 15,146 miles total in 2019. The team with the worst travel burden last season was the Las Vegas Raiders who travelled 32,023 miles.
