Stashed Celtics guard Yam Madar nearly scores triple-double with new EuroCup team Partizan NIS

The Beit Dagan native has a new home to hone his craft on his path to the NBA.

While it might not have worked out for Israeli point guard Yam Madar to join this coming season’s Boston Celtics roster, that did not stop the Beit Dagan native from getting right back at it, joining Belgrade (Serbia) ABA League and EuroCup powerhouse Partizan NIS to play under legendary European coach Željko Obradović.

Known for developing talents like Bojan Bogdanović, Nmanja Bjelica, Bogdan Bogdanović and other NBA talents, it’s a near-ideal overseas opportunity for Madar, who logged 11 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists in a recent tilt against Serbia’s Radnički club. While there may not be space on Boston’s roster for Madar just yet, if he continues packing on muscle and growing his game abroad, we expect to see him stateside as soon as next season.

Watch his highlights from that most recent game against Radnički in this clip put together by fan YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski in the meantime.
