Stanford sharpshooter Tyrell Terry once again mocked to Sixers for 2020

Stanford freshman Tyrell Terry has been mocked to the Philadelphia 76ers at 22 in the draft.

Sure, the NBA is returning and the season is set to resume on July 31, but that does not mean that the offseason can be ignored. For the Philadelphia 76ers, this upcoming offseason will be important for them no matter the result of the 2020 NBA Playoffs.

At the moment, the Sixers hold the 22nd pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, but that can change if the Oklahoma City Thunder lose too many games when the season returns. In the scenario that they keep the pick, the needs that the Sixers have entering the draft will be all about shooting and a shooter who has been a popular mock draft pick has been Standford shooter Tyrell Terry.

Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman has the Sixers selecting Terry as he says:

Terry just shot 40.8 percent from three and 89.1 percent from the line to register a 58.9 true shooting percentage. With a 6’1″, 160-pound frame, he hasn’t sold everyone, but he has some of the draft’s softest touch along with dangerous shooting range. Despite being limited physically and athletically, he still shot 61.5 percent at the rim.

Terry has been a popular pick this entire mock draft process along with Texas Tech’s Jahmi’us Ramsey. He is a guy who can be an efficient catch and shoot player from deep and that will be an extremely attractive option for Ben Simmons when he drives the lane.
