It may not be as big as some of the Notre Dame/Florida State meetings in the past but as our friend Dan Harralson of VolsWire puts it, this is one of those “helmet games” where you just look at the two helmets and know it’s big because of history and tradition.
I expect Notre Dame to come out rusty after not playing for three weeks and Florida State to buzzing a bit early, but that’ll settle out and Notre Dame’s defensive front will end up dominating the offensive line for Florida State that has been iffy at best this season.
Expect another big day in the running game and a whole lot of sacks by the Irish defense.
