The San Antonio Spurs take on+ on the New York Knicks tonight and, in the process, will also be looking to bounce back from an ugly 152-111 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Monday night. Devin Vassell will likely miss the game, so the rest of the Spurs lineup will have to step up in his absence, including rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama.
But an interesting subplot of the contest will be Wembanyama’s NBA debut at Madison Square Garden, an area often heralded for stars’ big-time performances under the bright light of the Big Apple. It’s one of the biggest markets in the world, and everyone knows it.
Ahead of the game, Wembanyama spoke about his feelings about being at the Garden.
