After missing the past six games due to health and safety protocols, Devin Vassell returned to the lineup on Friday and helped the San Antonio Spurs post a victory over the Orlando Magic.

Vassell, who last played on Feb. 14, produced eight points, three rebounds and two assists in 18 minutes off of the bench. He finished the contest by shooting 3-of-6 from the field, including 2-of-4 from 3-point range, in the 104-77 win.

With the Spurs up by 14 points early in the third quarter, the Magic went on a run to cut the deficit to three points. Aided by two crucial 3-pointers by Vassell, the Spurs ended the quarter on a run of their own to push the advantage back to 10 points as they led the rest of the game.

Of course, the Spurs were recently hit with a coronavirus outbreak as multiple players tested positive prior to the All-Star break with Vassell among them. With Vassell back in the lineup, the team is back to full strength following the wave of health and safety issues.

The Spurs are right in the thick of the playoff race and returning to full strength will be key in sticking around over the course of the next few months. While the team could change some ahead of the March 25 trade deadline, the group appears to be a viable playoff team.
