The San Antonio Spurs have a bunch of decisions to make this summer. As they look to potentially hit the trade market, a few different players could be made available. And according to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, the Spurs have been willing to listen to offers for Keldon Johnson. (H/t Jonah Kubicek of Inside the Spurs)
“In addition to the team being open to discussing trade ideas with both the fourth and eighth overall picks, the Spurs will be willing to hear offers involving Keldon Johnson, league sources told ClutchPoints,” Siegel wrote. “However, the Spurs still view Johnson as a key building block next to Wembanyama, and have given teams no indication that he is currently on the trade block.”
Johnson is set to make $19 million next season, making him a solid trade piece based on his salary alone.
On top of that, he could be used to lure in a star to San Antonio or, at the very least, bring in some more three-point shooting or playmaking – two of the Spurs’ biggest needs this summer.
