Spotlight is on Steelers WR George Pickens this week vs. Browns

George Pickens should have a huge game this week against the Browns.

It might be put up or shut up time for the Pittsburgh Steelers offense this week. After a near-perfect preseason, Pittsburgh stumbled out of the gate against the San Francisco 49ers last week, and the offense in particular was completely out of sorts.

This week the sledding doesn’t get any easier with the Cleveland Browns coming to town. To compound things, starting wide receiver Diontae Johnson is going to be sidelined with a hamstring injury he suffered last week against the 49ers.

If the offense is going to bounce back, it’s going to fall on the shoulders of quarterback Kenny Pickett but also his top target, George Pickens. The cameras caught how frustrated was Pickens on the sideline last week. Pickens only saw four targets against San Francisco, catching three passes for just 19 yards. If the Steelers have any chance of beating the Browns this week, Pickens is going to need a much better game, and some of that falls on him.
