It was previously revealed that [autotag]Chase Purdy[/autotag] would drive for [autotag]Spire Motorsports[/autotag] during the 2024 NASCAR Truck Series season. That became official on Wednesday. Spire Motorsports announced that Purdy will drive the No. 77 truck full-time after spending one year with Kyle Busch Motorsports. The team was purchased by Spire Motorsports after 2023.
Purdy finished the 2023 season with three top-5 finishes, 11 top-10 finishes, and a 14.6 average finishing position. The former Kyle Busch Motorsports driver was the top non-playoff driver in the point standings, placing in 11th place. Purdy will be paired with crew chief Jason Trinchere, who spent the last three years as a NASCAR Xfinity Series crew chief for Kaulig Racing.

Spire Motorsports is setting a “very high bar” for Purdy, Trinchere, and the entire No. 77 team during the 2024 NASCAR season. The organization believes that Purdy is coming into his own, and with Trinchere on top of the box, success should be coming soon. Spire Motorsports is growing, and Purdy could lead the way in the Truck Series.
