Social media reacts to Ron Rivera not going for 2-point conversion vs. Eagles

Social media weighs in on Rivera’s decision to go for overtime.

Should Washington Commanders head coach Ron Rivera have attempted a two-point conversion at the end of regulation in Sunday’s overtime loss to the Philadelphia Eagles?

Quarterback Sam Howell just led the Commanders on a 10-play, 64-yard drive in the final 1:43 of regulation to make it a 31-30 game. Rivera had a decision to make: Kick the extra point and send the game into overtime, or go for the two-point conversion.

Rivera chose overtime, later explaining he thought his team was “gassed.” Twitter — or X — sounded off, with many believing Rivera should have gone for the win.

Here are some of those reactions.
