Social media reacts as Caitlin Clark downs Michigan State with wild buzzer-beating 3-pointer

From the beak! Social media exploded with reaction to Caitlin Clark’s latest logo, walk-off winner in Iowa’s 76-73 win over Michigan State.

Caitlin Clark did it again.

In a game that had plenty of twists and turns, No. 3 Iowa women’s basketball escaped with a 76-73 win over Michigan State thanks to Clark’s buzzer-beating, game-winning 3-pointer as the clock expired.

After a back-and-forth affair where Sparty looked primed on multiple occasions to play spoiler, it was Clark that conjured up more Carver-Hawkeye Arena magic. Like against No. 2 Indiana in last season’s regular season finale, Clark called game.

With the game tied at 73, Clark received a pass from sophomore forward Hannah Stuelke beyond the 3-point line, took one dribble and then promptly drained a step-back, logo 3-pointer as the final buzzer sounded. As it should, it sent the Carver faithful into absolute mayhem as the Hawkeyes escaped Michigan State’s upset bid thanks to the latest chapter in Clark’s greatness.

With the game-winning 3-pointer, Clark finished her night with 40 points and eight trifectas. She also dished out five assists. Iowa improved to 14-1 (3-0 Big Ten) with the magical 76-73 win over Michigan State.

Naturally, social media exploded with reaction as well. Take a look at how Hawkeye fans and the college basketball world responded to Clark’s heroics.
