What a Week 7 in Big Ten football. Ohio State and Oregon played in one of the wildest game we will see this season, and Penn State scored 27 points in two quarters and overtime to steal a win from the jaws of defeat at USC.
Not to be outdone, Purdue of all teams outscored Illinois 40-19 in the second half to force OT. That’s where Purdue turned to PurDon’t and misidentified the Illini defense when going for two and took a game-ending sack.
Iowa thrashed the Washington Huskies on the back of QB Cade McNamara. That’s a joke, RB Kaleb Johnson did the heavy lifting once again. You’ll see more on the Iowa offense below.
Wisconsin also put the Big Ten on notice with their beatdown of Rutgers in New Jersey. It’s good to see the Badgers fans feeling good after bad luck hit them against Alabama and USC.
Northwestern’s win at Maryland Friday night led to some colorful thoughts from Terps fans. It’s the beauty of social media.
Minnesota and UCLA played a game, too, according to social media.
Let’s see some of the best about Big Ten Football from Week 7.

This is a mild-mannered opinion on Terrapins head coach Mike Locksley.
Mike Locksley is 0-11 in his HC career after the bye. Maryland already looks unprepared, out coached, and out schemed. Loss tonight and they finish 3-9 this year. Gotta fire him #Terps

Ashton Jeanty getting plenty of deserved love but the more I watch Kaleb Johnson, and the more I see of QB play across the country, the more I believe Jeanty shouldn’t be the only RB in that Heisman convo.

Tom Fornelli is right about the running back renaissance for the Heisman race. Below is also right about Hawkeyes QB Cade McNamara.
Cade McNamara is so bad pic.twitter.com/pICSyVNsda

Lincoln Riley saw James Franklin on the other sideline and was like oh watch me show you how to burn clock for no reason

Lincoln Riley is going to ban a reporter this week

The best play in college football came courtesy of the Nittany Lions do-it-all tight end.
The catch by Tyler Warren is INSANE, but do not sleep on the creativity by Penn State’s OC Andy Kotelnicki. The man who snapped the ball caught the TD!!!! Has to be a first in football history. Coach K is special man pic.twitter.com/pseyOs5S0f

Purdue may have had an edge in the second half for a reason.
Unbelievable that Walters came out during Hail to the Orange and let his coaches interrupt the band with whistles.
Have some respect for the program that got you the job you’re about to lose https://t.co/2E8zgqnROx

I love Purdue’s decision to go for two and the win, the play was there. Ryan Browne played a heck of a first start. But that was a pretty swift reminder that it was, indeed, his first collegiate start.

My opinion of this Wisconsin football team is suddenly shifting towards cautiously optimistic.

Very bad and disappointing performance today.
Blown out at home to Wisconsin.
Folks, Rutgers football is not going to reach 9 wins this year. I can guarantee you that.
This is starting to look like a team that’ll finish 6-6 or worse.

It’s amazing to see how Wisconsin and Rutgers have their seasons in very different places after where they were a few weeks ago.
Someone was gonna do it. Might as well be one of the better college football hosts in the country. Also, don’t spit on people.
Duck Tuah?!?

Getting ejected from the game and taking your team out of TD territory in the biggest game of the year was certainly a choice. Shouldn’t have been, but I guess it was. https://t.co/6w1oCjkVbD

My guy just grabbing the receiver the entire route. Better not see a PI on Oregon this game. Could be big

It’s worth ending this on a goofy situation that happened at Kinnick Stadium.
That probably didn’t feel great 😬 pic.twitter.com/inXNrutFDn
