Six-win CU Buffs land just outside latest US LBM Coaches Poll top 25

Colorado landed just outside the US LBM Coaches Poll top 25

Despite becoming one of only four six-win teams in the Big 12 Conference on Saturday, the Colorado Buffaloes couldn’t crack the post-Week 9 US LBM Coaches Poll top 25.

Head coach Deion Sanders’ Buffs earned 75 votes, one fewer than the No. 25 Memphis Tigers. The week prior, Colorado went voteless.

Looking at the latest poll from a Big 12 perspective, No. 10 Iowa State and No. 12 BYU stayed put while Kansas State moved up one spot to No. 15. Arizona State also picked up five votes.

None of Colorado’s four remaining opponents — Texas Tech, Utah, Kansas and Oklahoma State — received a single vote.

Colorado did, however, break into the AP Top 25 for the first time this season, debuting at No. 23.
