The Philadelphia 76ers are in a tough time right now. They are trying to nail down a concrete, real, rotation for the playoffs and yet, they continue to get nicked with these nagging injuries.
On Monday against the Atlanta Hawks, coach Brett Brown made another surprising move to his lineup. Just a week after saying that he would like Al Horford to continue to come off the bench, he will insert Horford back into the lineup against the Hawks.
In place of the injured Ben Simmons, the Sixers will insert Shake Milton into his place and run some things. Milton started in place of the injured Josh Richardson recently so that is not much of a surprise, but Horford starting is absolutely surprising.

When the team came back from the All-Star break, Horford said the team continued to tell him that he will come off the bench. This way, Brown can continue to nail down a consistent rotation for the playoffs so this definitely comes off as a shocking move for this team. Granted, the Hawks have a lot of size and Horford will help, but if they want to get everybody comfortable in their roles, they need to stick with Horford coming off the bench.
