Sixers to start Furkan Korkmaz in place of injured Josh Richardson

The Philadelphia 76ers will start Furkan Korkmaz in place of the injured Josh Richardson.

The Philadelphia 76ers return home on Saturday night to take on the Indiana Pacers but will have to do so without a key component of their starting lineup. Josh Richardson will miss another game due to the hamstring issue he suffered in their Thanksgiving Eve win over the Sacramento Kings.

In his place, the Sixers will once again turn to Furkan Korkmaz who has turned into the regular backup option when coach Brett Brown needs somebody to step in for a missing starter. He started in Friday’s win over the New York Knicks and Saturday will already be his seventh start of the season.

Korkmaz is averaging 9.0 points and 2.4 rebounds while shooting 35.7% from deep so far to begin the season. The rest of the starting lineup is intact as Al Horford returns after sitting out Friday’s win to rest.

Tipoff with the Pacers is set for 7:00 p.m. EST from the Wells Fargo Center. [lawrence-related id=20297,20289,20279]
