Sixers to donate 2,500 meals to frontline workers at Children’s Hospital

The Philadelphia 76ers will donate 2,500 meals to frontline workers at the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia 76ers continue to step up and help others in their community during this global pandemic. As Tobias Harris, Ben Simmons, and others step up and do their part, the organization continues to make strides in helping the frontline workers.

The Sixes announced on Monday that they are teaming up with The GIANT Company on a joint initiative called “Feeding the Frontlines”. They will be donating through Off Their Plate–a grassroots organization that delivers nutritious meals to frontline workers–to donate 2,500 meals to frontline workers at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

“We are grateful to The GIANT Company for joining us in our mission to support both our healthcare heroes who tirelessly serve the community day and night, as well as the local restaurants which continue to prepare and provide meals in the most challenging of times,” said Sixers Chief Marketing Officer Katie O’Reilly per a press release. “We hope our efforts will continue to fuel the heroism in our city and inspire others to support those who need it most.”

This is yet another example of the Sixers stepping up in this time of need. It’s great to see big organizations such as this one help others. [lawrence-related id=32751,32745,32738]
