Sixers to be without Shake Milton, Paul Reed in road contest vs. Magic

The Philadelphia 76ers will be without Shake Milton and Paul Reed against the Orlando Magic on the road.

The Philadelphia 76ers were already heading into this contest with the Orlando Magic on Wednesday a little shorthanded with Matisse Thybulle and Tyrese Maxey in the health and safety protocols. Those absences triggered 10-day signings of Charlie Brown Jr. and Braxton Key.

Now, the Sixers will be without some other key pieces to their roster at the moment.

Shake Milton is out due to a lower back contusion that he suffered in Monday’s win over the Houston Rockets. Acting head coach Dan Burke even stated that Milton had a tough time moving in the locker room after the game.

Paul Reed is now the latest Sixer to enter the protocols and he is also out against the Magic. It is unclear when Reed can return for Philadelphia.

With Milton out for Wednesday, the Sixers will undoubtedly turn to Furkan Korkmaz to handle the ball a bit more for the offense. This could also give Isaiah Joe an opportunity to make a dent in the rotation a bit more.

Tipoff from the Amway Center in Orlando is set for 7 p.m. EST.
