The Philadelphia 76ers are continuing with their offseason as they look to grow their roster around Joel Embiid and James Harden. The Sixers have their two established stars, but there is one young player on the rise who could soon form a Big 3 with the big fella and The Beard.
Tyrese Maxey, who had an impressive second season in the league and adjusted to many different roles, averaged 17.5 points and 4.3 assists while shooting 42.7% from deep. He shot a robust 48% from deep after the All-Star break as he was able to make huge steps as a player on the floor.
Maxey is known as a gym rat, but the rising star now has the respect of the league as he was working out with Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. The young Sixers guard was in the background watching James get some shooting in as he was awaiting his turn with their trainer, Chris Johnson.

As the Sixers move forward, the fact that Maxey is getting the respect of a guy like James is a testament to his work ethic and the improvement he’s put in. Now, Philadelphia just needs to be able to get him to take this improvement onto the floor in his third season and morph into an All-Star.
