Sixers star James Harden to miss a month due to right foot injury

Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden will miss a month due to a right foot injury.

The Philadelphia 76ers suffered a loss to the Washington Wizards on the court on Wednesday night to end their 3-game win streak, but now, they have found out that they will be without their star point guard for a little while as well.

James Harden took a hard fall in the first quarter in Wednesday’s loss and he was grabbing at his knee. However, coach Doc Rivers revealed that he left in the fourth quarter as well with something else.

“I knew he went out,” said Rivers. “I thought it was the second half. Something happened because there was a stretch where we were waiting for him to come back in the game and he was in the locker room so I don’t ever check what. I just know he wasn’t there to come back in. So I don’t know if something happened in the second half or it was a continuation for something that happened in the first half.”

After some tests, it has been revealed that Harden has suffered a right foot tendon strain and he will miss a month which is a huge blow to Philadelphia. The Sixers are sitting at 4-5 after an up-and-down start to the season and the injury to Harden is the last thing they need.

The Beard is averaging 22.0 points, 10.0 assists, and 7.0 rebounds while shooting 44.1% from the floor. He has shown flashes of looking like who he was before the injury and this is going to be a big loss for Philadelphia who will now rely again on Joel Embiid to carry a heavy load.
