Sixers star Ben Simmons prefers to be traded to one of California teams

Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons prefers to be traded to a California team.

It appears that Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons’ career will be coming to an end soon in the City of Brotherly Love and that means that there will be a line of suitors for the 25-year old 3-time All-Star.

Simmons has reportedly told the organization that he does want out after the team has made it known that they are taking trade calls on the embattled star. While Simmons is obviously a talented player, his continued shortcomings on the offensive end of the floor have become a big problem for the team’s lack of success.

While it is not the greatest idea to single anybody out as a scapegoat in a team game, there is no question that Simmons’ lack of offensive production has continued to hold the team back some. Philadelphia is now looking for an upgrade there in order to get over the hump in the Eastern Conference.

As far as Simmons’ preferred trade destinations are concerned, one Western Conference executive stated that he would like to be traded to one of three California teams.

Considering he works out in Los Angeles, the Lakers and the Clippers seem like obvious choices and that then leaves the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings as the other choices. One would assume that the Kings would not be a preferred destination considering their current state of not being a contender.

Either way, it does appear that the Simmons era is coming to an end in Philadelphia. With so much unfulfilled promise, some might look back at his time here and call it a disappointment. At this point, it might be better for both him and the team to just go their separate ways.
