Sixers say they just need to get healthy following 4th straight defeat

The Philadelphia 76ers believe they just need to get healthy in order to get back on track.

The Philadelphia 76ers are in a bit of a rut right now as they suffered their fourth straight loss on Saturday to the Milwaukee Bucks. It is not too hard to see why they have been taking so many losses lately and it is due to the fact that they are missing so many players.

On Saturday, they were facing a very good Bucks team on the road without both of their star duo in Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. Any team is going to look bad when they’re missing their two best players. On top of that, they were missing Furkan Korkmaz who is one of their key bench pieces.

“You’re naming all those guys, that tells you your problem,” said coach Doc Rivers. “At the same time, we got to get a rhythm with all our guys playing. We got 12 games left, we get tomorrow off. Hopefully, our next game Monday, hopefully by the time we play, we got more guys on the floor.”

The Sixers did just get Seth Curry and Tobias Harris back in the lineup on Thursday after they missed some time so it will be interesting to see how they handle these final 12 games. They still need to come together and work out some of the kinks that are still there.

“We just gotta get healthy,” said Curry. “These last few games down the stretch and get on the court together and figure it out. It’s a tough season. A lot of teams are going through this right now, but every time we step on the floor, we got to use this as games to get better and to try to get wins down the stretch. Health is the most important thing that’s been hurting us of a lot of teams all year so we got to figure it out.”

What makes the Sixers so confident they will be able to get it together is the fact that they have been successful all season long. They just need to get their main cogs and their keys back out there.

“What gives us a confidence is we’ve been winning all year long,” said George Hill. “With guys in and guys out, we’ve been finding ways to win all season long. I know once we get healthy, this team can be scary. We have guys who can get to the basket, we have guys who can shoot it. These last 12 games, we need to figure out how to get in better shape…start playing the right way.”

The Sixers will return home and take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday.
