Sixers rookie Jaden Springer struggles with shooting in Blue Coats win

Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jaden Springer struggles a bit with his shooting in a win for the Delaware Blue Coats.

With the Philadelphia 76ers out west on a long 6-game road trip, their younger guys are in the G League looking to continue to make strides in their development.

The team’s G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, did a good job of developing Paul Reed in the 2020-21 season. Now, they will look to help out 2021 NBA draftee, Jaden Springer.

The young man out of Tenessee was the 28th pick in the 2021 draft and after a terrific game on Friday, he struggled a bit with his shooting on Sunday. He finished with eight points on 2-for-9 shooting with five rebounds, three assists, and a steal in a Blue Coats win over College Park.

At 19-years old, Springer is going to need some time in the G League before he can make a serious impact on the Sixers. At the moment, he is just too raw to really make that next step. The talent is there and it appears that he is willing to work hard and continue to grow, but he will need some more time to take those strides forward.
