The Philadelphia 76ers returned home in the 2009 NBA Playoffs with a 1-1 split and they now owned the home-court advantage with the Orlando Magic. In the edition of the playoff rewind, we take a look back at a clutch bucket from a former fan favorite.

The game was tied at 94 late in Game 3 and the Sixers had the ball. They received big games from Andre Miller and Andre Iguodala and it was assumed the ball was going to them. With the two of them covered, the Sixers had to get it in to Thaddeus Young in the corner.

Young drove past Rashard Lewis and then snuck past Dwight Howard for a clutch bucket with 2.0 seconds left. Young’s shot lifted the Sixers to a 96-94 win in Game 3 and he finished with six points with the last two points the biggest of the night.

Young’s shot gave the Sixers some momentum, but then Orlando bounced back with a big Hedo Turkoglu shot in Game 4 and the Magic were able to win it in six games to move on to Round 2. It was a disappointing finish for Philadelphia after being in the same exact position the season before up 2-1 against the Detroit Pistons and having the same exact finish.
