Sixers have hope Andre Drummond, Shake Milton can return vs. Nets

The Philadelphia 76ers have hope that Andre Drummond and Shake Milton can return on Thursday against the Brooklyn Nets.

As the Philadelphia 76ers move forward on this current 3-game road trip, they are still missing a few key members of their team as they are still in the league’s health and safety protocols.

Philadelphia found out back on Dec. 19 that Andre Drummond and Shake Milton entered the health protocols after testing positive for COVID-19. While the two of them are out for Tuesday’s matchup with the Toronto Raptors, the Sixers have hope that they can return on Thursday when they wrap up this trip against the Brooklyn Nets.

The game on Thursday would mark that their 10 days of quarantine would be up so coach Doc Rivers hopes that they can at least rejoin the team. Danny Green is also in the protocols, but he entered those on Dec. 22 so he would need more time.

“I mean, once they get their passport, you know, from Cabo and come back over and start playing basketball again, that’ll be terrific,” joked Rivers. “I think at least two, but I don’t know that yet. I think, if my math is right, that’s the 10th day. So that means yes, for two of them. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re in shape to play, but they should be with the team.”

The Sixers are 1-0 on this current trip after a win on Sunday and they will be looking to keep their success going on Tuesday in Toronto. If Drummond and Milton can return on Thursday, that would give the Sixers a big lift to their bench unit.
