Sixers have 3 players ranked in ESPN’s top 50 players in Orlando bubble

The Philadelphia 76ers have three players coming in ranked in the top 50 players in Orlando.

The Philadelphia 76ers are one of 22 teams headed to Disney World in Orlando to resume the 2019-20 season. Considering the talent on the roster, there is a lot of expectations for the Sixers to win a championship back to Philadelphia from the bubble.

To win a championship, one has to have the aforementioned talent and have it come together to form one cohesive unit on the floor. ESPN ranked the top 50 players inside the Orlando bubble and the Sixers had three players pop up on the list.

The first one was Tobias Harris who came in ranked 42nd on the list:

The Sixers have credited Harris as a rallying force while the season was suspended. Now, Philadelphia will need him to be an offensive fulcrum. On a team that is starved for spacing and shooting, the Sixers will lean on Harris to provide both — particularly after signing a five-year, $180 million contract last summer.

After Harris, the Sixers All-Star duo came in ranked high on the list. Ben Simmons was ranked just outside the top 15 as he came in at 16:

Although the Sixers aren’t exactly loaded with great shooters, Simmons remains the top 3-point assist man in the NBA. He comes into Orlando leading all NBA passers with 231 3-point assists, per Second Spectrum tracking. His incredible shot creation has to continue in the playoffs if Philly has any chance of coming out of the East.

Then, there’s Joel Embiid who is in the top 10 of the list. The talented 7-foot big man from Kansas came in ranked at number 6:

Embiid has the potential to be one of the most dominating forces in the Eastern Conference playoffs this year. Will he realize that potential? That’s the million-dollar question in Philly, and one of the biggest unknowns in Orlando. If Embiid is thriving on both ends of the court, so are the Sixers — if he’s not, Philly is done.

As mentioned, the Sixers do have the talent to get this done in Orlando, but it will be up to them to figure out how to correctly mesh with one another out on the floor. [lawrence-related id=34819,34811,34806]
