Sixers guard Shake Milton makes NBA history in matchup vs. Clippers

Philadelphia 76ers guard Shake Milton is making NBA history on Sunday.

The Philadelphia 76ers are beginning their road trip on Sunday against the Los Angeles Clippers down two starters in Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, and they then lost another starter in Josh Richardson to injury, but they have seemed to unearth a diamond in the rough with Shake Milton.

Milton, who has replaced the injured Simmons in the starting lineup, has been knocking down the 3-pointer with a ton of confidence and on Sunday he made an NBA record.

He started the game 5-for-5 from deep and in the process, he knocked down 14 straight 3-pointers spanning back to their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on February 26. The 14 consecutive triples are an NBA record for most consecutive threes made.

The second-year guard out of SMU is giving the Sixers a huge lift as he already has a career-high 29 points in the third quarter. However, the Sixers are trailing the Clippers 96-89 as they continue to fight without their leaders. [lawrence-related id=26843,26835,26822]
