Sixers come in ranked 10th in ESPN’s latest NBA Power Rankings

The Philadelphia 76ers come in ranked 10th in ESPN’s latest edition of their power rankings.

As a new week begins in the NBA, the Philadelphia 76ers, as well as the rest of the league, have been hit hard with COVID-19, sidelining many key players until they can clear the league’s health and safety protocol.

The Sixers wrapped up last week with a road win over the Washington Wizards thanks to 36 points from Joel Embiid. The win puts them back over .500 (17-16) and gives them something to build on.

The new week begins with new power rankings from ESPN. The Sixers moved up two spots to No. 10:

The 76ers’ biggest resolution could be figuring out what will happen with Ben Simmons between now and the NBA’s trade deadline. There may not be a bigger question in the NBA this season than whether the All-Star guard’s situation in Philadelphia will be resolved, and as a result, whether superstar center Joel Embiid will get some additional help to make a playoff push.

The Sixers will begin this new week with a matchup with the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday, the second game of a three-game road trip. That will be their next opportunity to build momentum.
