With the 2022-23 season right around the corner, now is the time to take one final look back at some of the highlights of the 2021-22 season for the Philadelphia 76ers.
This one takes everybody to Jan. 19 when Joel Embiid took his game to another level in a matchup with the Orlando Magic. The young and pesky Magic had a lot of length on a front line led by Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter Jr. Embiid shook all of that off to erupt for 50 points on 17-for-23 shooting and 15-for-17 from the free-throw line with 12 rebounds in a 123-110 win at home.
After the huge performance from Embiid, the Magic had no choice but to give their respects to one of the best players in the game. The big fella made their lives pretty miserable, but that is what great players do, and Orlando players had to tip their caps to him.
