Sixers 2021 NBA mock draft: Tre Mann adds scoring punch to bench

In a recent mock draft, the Philadelphia 76ers are selecting Florida guard Tre Mann.

The Philadelphia 76ers are looking to move in the right direction after coming up well short of their goal in the 2021 playoffs, and one of the issues that needs to be addressed is help off the bench.

The bench unit was up and down all season and in the playoffs. The Sixers need another player on that second unit who can score and can hit 3-pointers. With the 28th pick in the 2021 NBA draft, they hope to find somebody to do that.

In a recent mock draft performed by NBC Sports Washington, the Sixers are selecting Florida guard Tre Mann:

Mann could easily be the breakout player of the year last season in college basketball. He improved his scoring by 10-plus points per game and has a game that appears would translate into the NBA. He’s a shot hunter (shooting 40% from 3) and could project to a microwave scorer off the bench.

Mann averaged 16.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists for the Gators as a sophomore in the 2020-21 season, and he shot 40.2% from deep. The Sixers could use his services off their bench as a player who can give the team a real spark. Kind of like Tyrese Maxey in a way.
