The Philadelphia 76ers have the 21st pick in the 2020 NBA Draft coming up on November 18 done virtually due to the global coronavirus pandemic. They need some help out on the perimeter in order to move forward after a disappointing 2019-20 season.
With that pick, they can go a couple of different ways as there will be plenty of options, but one name that continues to pop up in mock drafts is Stanford’s Tyrell Terry.
Terry is a guy who averaged 14.6 points and 4.5 rebounds along with 3.2 assists while shooting 40.8% from deep during his time with the Cardinal. According to a mock draft done by Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman, he has Terry going to Philadelphia at 21:
Terry’s shooting and playmaking should attract the 76ers. Regardless of how his underwhelming tools limit his scoring potential, the Sixers could use to run pick-and-rolls or knock down jumpers off spot-ups and screens.
Terry has already interviewed with Philadelphia in preparation for this draft and he discussed his potential fit with the team. The fit makes sense a lot on offense as the team desperately needs another guy who can put the ball on the floor next to Ben Simmons and space the floor for him and Joel Embiid to operate.
