The 2020 NBA draft continues to inch closer and now is the time for teams to get their final preparations in for the day on Wednesday. Considering that the draft will be done virtually, it is a much different draft process than usual.
The Philadelphia 76ers are fortunate to have a pick in the first round after having a pick convey from the Oklahoma City Thunder at 21. The pick grants them a few different routes they can go as they can either go with the pick at 21 and bring in a rookie who will need development or they can trade it.
If they do stay at 21, the Sixers have some obvious needs. They need some shooting and they need a guy who can put the ball on the floor and create for himself and others. A guy like Tyrell Terry of Stanford certainly fits that mold as he can play either guard position.
In a new mock draft performed by Bleacher Report, they have Terry headed to Philadelphia at 21:
Need and value could align if the sweet-shooting Terry is still around when the Sixers are on the clock. He offers a wealth of shot-making and underrated distributing, and Philly has the length and bulk to cover for his lack of size and athleticism.
There is no guarantee if Philadelphia even makes this pick, but it is going to be interesting to watch and see what they do. If Terry is on the board at 21, they would be wise to not let him slip past there. It is a move that must be made at that point. [lawrence-related id=38993,38965,39087]
