The Philadelphia 76ers now have a first-round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft that is now set for some time in November rather than October as the league continues to pick up the pieces during an odd time.
They have the 21st pick courtesy of the success had by the Oklahoma City Thunder and there are plenty of options that can be had for the Sixers. They have a few obvious needs such as shooting and a guy who can put the ball on the floor and create for himself and others.
The mock drafts around the web have the Sixers focusing on those needs and this one is no different. A mock draft performed by Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman has the Sixers selecting a familiar pick in Stanford’s Tyrell Terry.
Wasserman:
The Sixers could use another ball-handler and shooter, which makes Terry a potential target. Though not athletic or strong, he compensates with special touch, deep range, sharp ball skills and finishing instincts.
Standing at 6-foot-1, Terry can play both guard positions as he can put the ball on the floor as well as being able to run off screens and find his shot. He was a 40.3% shooter from deep for the Cardinal in his lone freshman season and the Sixers could use a guy like him to provide the offense needed from the perimeter.
