Fans of the Boston Celtics have been loving and trusting veteran point guard Marcus Smart since he joined the team after being drafted by the ball club out of Oklahoma State, but even with the recognition of all he brings to a team in consideration, there are voices growing steadily louder regarding changing how the Flower Mound native is used.
Those voices advocate from anything to shrinking Smart’s role in the regular season to putting him on the bench outright. Given how well some of his teammates have been able to contribute to winning basketball this season while Smart has at times struggled, it could very well be the right move to explore shaking things up with regard to his floor time.
The hosts of the CLNS Meda “A List” podcast recently linked up to talk it over.
Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear their thoughts on how Smart should be used by head coach Joe Mazzulla.
