The San Antonio Spurs have been one of the bottom-feeding teams in the NBA this year, but everything is alright because they have a blossoming star in Victor Wembanyama. The 20-year-old rookie has been incredible this season on both ends of the floor, and he’s who the Spurs are looking to to lead them into the future.
Wembanyama has been shining on the defensive end, but his offensive talent is impressive, too. His physical tools and basketball skillset make him one of the unique players in the league. However, despite taking 16.2 shots per game, he’s only averaging 5.0 free throws per contest.
The CLAN the SPURS fan YouTube channel recently discussed why they wish Wembanyama would complain to referees more.
Obviously, complaining to refs isn’t the best habit for an NBA star to have, but everyone does it from time to time. As his career goes on, Wembanyama should get a better whistle. It’s just a part of the journey.
