Should Malcolm Brogdon or Marcus Smart start for the Boston Celtics next season?

Would it make sense to risk the chemistry that worked so well last season to start Brogdon?

With the Boston Celtics electing to bring on Indiana Pacers floor general Malcolm Brogdon, the team’s rotation will undoubtedly be shaken up a bit in what we hope is a positive manner as fans of the storied franchise. But just how much should the club be shaking up keeping veteran Marcus Smart at the point guard position in what was one of the best lineups in the NBA?

No small part of what got the Celtics to the 2022 Finals, Smart might not be the ideal closer at the highest levels of play, but does that mean Boston ought to risk harming the chemistry that played out to their advantage so well last season?

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast got together after the news of the Brogdon trade broke, and debated the merits of having the Flower Mound native starting over the Virginia product.

Check out the clip embedded above to hear their takes on who ought to be manning the point when the ball is tipped off next season.
