Should Giants make a play for Bengals’ Tee Higgins?

Should the New York Giants consider a trade for Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins or look for someone who more specifically fits their needs?

This offseason, one of the biggest priorities for the New York Giants is upgrading the wide receiver position. After entering last season with plenty of wide receiver depth, the Giants quickly found themselves very thin due to injury and inconsistency.

With such a desperate need at receiver, the Giants may have to get creative with how they choose to address it as the free agency talent pool is lacking. Either the trading block or the 2023 NFL draft may be the best options for Big Blue.

One name that could be available via trade is Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins.

All three years Higgins has been in the league, he has been highly productive. And while his numbers are certainly impressive, he may not be the No. 1 type of receiver the Giants are both looking for and need.

The Giants currently have the fourth-most cap space, and a good portion of that money is likely to be tied to Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley. With the salary cap rising, it may be just enough the give the Giants the cap room needed to pull off a trade for a player of Higgins’ caliber.

But again, is Higgins that guy? Or should the Giants instead test the water on a player like DeAndre Hopkins? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
