Shot-by-shot analysis: Tiger Woods’ second round 1-over 73 at the 2023 Masters at Augusta National

If Woods makes the weekend cut he’ll set the record for most consecutive cuts made at the Masters.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — If you couldn’t watch Tiger Woods’ second round of the 2023 Masters, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

The 15-time major champion returned to Augusta National Golf Club this week with a pair of records on his mind, and he achieved one.

Woods’ quest for a record-tying sixth green jacket took a hit on Thursday after a 2-over 74, but a 1-over 73 in the second round saw him make the cut on the number to extend his consecutive cuts made at the Masters streak to 23, tying Gary Player and Fred Couples. The 82-time winner on the PGA Tour has never missed the cut at the Masters as a professional since his debut in 1997 (he was low amateur in 1995 and missed the cut in 1996 as an amateur).
