Shane McClanahan struck out Mike Trout with a silly 100 mph pitch that looked like a wiffle ball

Are we sure this wasn’t a wiffle ball?

We’ve been showing you ridiculous pitches thrown by Major League Baseball pitchers all season long and now I have another one for you which features the great Mike Trout having no chance with a 100 mph four-seam fastball that had some serious movement on it at the end.

You know Mike Trout, right? The Angels outfielder is a 3-time MVP, a 10-time All-Star, and an 8-time Silver Slugger. He’s very good at baseball.

Well, he stepped into the box last night against Tampa’s Shane McClanahan and looked like an average baseball player thanks to this gasser that sent him back to the dugout.

Check this thing out:

That movement at the end is just insane. I don’t know what to say about it. Man, I’m glad I’m not a professional hitter.

Twitter was in awe.
