Several former Auburn Tigers lead NFL draft positional rankings

Two Auburn defensive backs are among the top of their group.

The completion of the Super Bowl on Sunday means we are full speed ahead towards the NFL draft. Three former Auburn Tigers will take part in the NFL Combine next month in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Among the best draft prospects for the Tigers is cornerback Roger McCreary, who really solidified himself as the SEC’s best boundary defender in 2021. He didn’t lead the league in interceptions, but McCreary showed consistency for the defense. He will now have an opportunity to do it at the next level.

Given how the Super Bowl ended for the Cincinnati Bengals, could they use him in coverage? Absolutely. They do need help on the offensive line but if McCreary is still on board at pick No. 31, they should strongly consider it.
