Several ex-Giants will play in Sunday’s conference championship games

Several former members of the New York Giants will take the field on Sunday in the AFC and NFC Championship Games.

Injured or not playing

There are several other Giants who will be on the sideline but not playing on Sunday due to injury or residence on the practice squad.

Here’s a quick look at those names:

  • Weston Richburg, C, San Francisco 49ers (IR)
  • Damontre Moore, DE, San Francisco 49ers (IR)
  • Cameron Wake, OLB, Tennessee Titans (IR)
  • Kenneth Durden , CB, Tennessee Titans (practice squad)
  • Nigel Harris, OLB, Tennessee Titans (practice squad)

There are also two ex-Giants connections…

Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz is the brother of former Giants offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz, and Chiefs quarterback Kyle Shurmur (practice squad) is the son of former Giants head coach Pat Shurmur.
