This week’s AP Poll and US LBM Coaches Poll feature seven Big Ten teams in both polls, and a handful of Big Ten programs have received votes in the process.
The Ohio State Buckeyes lead all Big Ten programs in the rankings at No. 3 in each poll. The Buckeyes received four first-place votes in the AP Top 25 and seven first-place votes in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
The Oregon Ducks and Penn State Nittany Lions, ranked No. 6 and No. 7, respectively, are also in the top ten in both polls.
The Michigan Wolverines moved into the top ten in both polls after their 27-24 win over Minnesota. There was a discrepancy when it comes to the USC Trojans; AP Voters are much higher on the Trojans, ranking Lincoln Riley’s program at No. 11, while the coaches rank them at No. 15.
The Indiana Hoosiers (No. 23 / No. 24) and Illinois Fighting Illini (No. 24 / No. 25) round out the Big Ten’s representation in both polls.
Big Ten programs that received votes in either poll this week include the Nebraska Cornhuskers following their 28-10 win over Purdue, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
