Former Vol Seth Stephenson is playing with the Lakeland Flying Tigers.
Lakeland competes in the Florida State League and is a Single-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.
Stephenson started in centerfield Tuesday and went 2-for-4 in Lakeland’s 4-2 win versus Fort Myers.
Stephenson has played in six contests with Lakeland. He has reached base in every contest.
The former Vol has recorded six hits, one walk, one hit by pitch and seven stolen bases in six games.
The 5-foot-9, 165-pound Stephenson appeared in 59 games during the 2022 season at Tennessee. He recorded four home runs, 28 RBIs, 46 runs, 62 hits, 17 doubles, one triple, 15 walks and 25 stolen bases in 2022.
Tennessee won the Southeastern Conference East division for the second consecutive season, the league regular season and tournament championships in 2022.
