We are less than 30 days away from the start of March Madness and the 2022 NCAA Tournament bracket reveal, which means ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi is hard at work attempting to predict how the field of 68 will shake out.
Lunardi’s latest has the Ducks in the field, sitting as a No. 10 seed where they would play No. 7 seed Seton Hall from the Big East.

The Oregon Ducks got off to a tough start this season, dropping early games to BYU and Saint Mary’s and then really jeopardizing their at-large hopes with losses to Arizona State and Stanford early in Pac-12 play.
However, Dana Altman and the staff got this team rolling after that, and behind a resurgent Will Richardson this team has won ten of their last 11 games, with a loss to Colorado the only blip on the radar.
The Ducks have a 16-7 record and sit in second place in the Pac-12. They are No. 50 in KenPom and No. 46 in the NET rankings, so it’s no surprise they are within the field despite a rough year from the Pac-12 conference as a whole.
Oregon has an insanely busy week coming up, hosting Cal Saturday afternoon and Washington State on Tuesday before hitting the road to take on Arizona State and Arizona later in the week.
How Altman’s squad does during this four game stretch will be pivotal in how they are viewed by the selection committee in early March – if they don’t find a way to catch fire and win the Pac-12 Championship outright.
