See Justin Fields’ jaw-dropping 56-yard TD pass vs. Clemson in the College Football Playoff

WOW WOW WOW.

If you watched Friday’s College Football Playoff Sugar Bowl semifinal between No. 2 Clemson and No. 3 Ohio State, you were probably wowed by Justin Fields for a number of reasons.

But one play that really stands out was an incredible touchdown bomb the Buckeyes junior quarterback threw late in the third quarter to stretch Ohio State’s double-digit lead over the Tigers.

On 2nd-and-10 from Ohio State’s own 44-yard line, Fields was patient in the pocket before launching the ball deep to junior wide receiver Chris Olave. The pass landed just a little behind Olave, but he caught it right as he crossed the goal line for a stunning 56-yard touchdown.

An unbelievable pass that served as another reminder that Fields is one of the best quarterbacks in the country who’s expected to be a coveted 2021 NFL Draft pick.

Fields connecting with Olave for this jaw-dropping touchdown gave the Buckeyes a 42-21 lead with less than five minutes remaining in the third quarter. It was Fields’ fifth touchdown pass of the day and Olave’s second.

Update: Fields threw another deep touchdown at the beginning of the fourth quarter to put Ohio State up, 49-21. This time it was a 45-yarder to sophomore receiver Jameson Williams.
