The Mayor of Murfreesboro, Tennessee Titans safety Kevin Byard, is urging people to stay at home to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
“We just wanted to remind everybody to practice social distancing at this time, stay home, stay safe, want to make sure we ensure the safety of everyone around us,” he said.
If you’re going stir-crazy like the rest of us are, Byard also offered some suggestions of ways to keep busy.
“I like to get my in-home workouts, push-ups, sit-ups. I like to play with my little one. Me and the wifey like to watch movies, TV shows, board games. We go outside and play with our dogs and different things like that.”
He ended off by giving a shout out to medical professionals on the frontlines of combating the virus and advocating for Titans fans to stay home and do everything they can to get through this unprecedented global crisis.

Byard posted 84 tackles, nine passes defensed and five interceptions in 2019.
Once all of this passes and football returns to the nation, expect Byard to continue to be key to the Titans’ secondary and takeaways in the 2020 season.
