The New York Giants have not given their players the green light to come into team facilities to begin training camp as of yet as the protocols are still being determined.
“The Giants’ rookies were expected in Thursday, along with their quarterbacks and injured players,” reports SNY’s Ralph Vacchiano. “But the team hasn’t given anyone clearance to travel to New Jersey yet, according to several agents who represent Giants rookies. Until the NFL-NFLPA agreement is official, the Giants don’t want to bring players to the area, and risk them having to just wait around for the details to be finalized. They figure everyone would be safer during this pandemic waiting at their homes.
“Of course, many of their players – and some rookies – are already in the New York/New Jersey area. But they will be on their own until the Giants are certain that all the details of COVID-19 testing and training camp have been worked out.”
The players want in after missing four months of workouts including OTAs and minicamp. Some of them were recently spotted running drills a high school in East Rutherford.

Safety Jabrill Peppers, who missed the final month of the season in 2019 with a fracture in his lower back, was also in attendance along with rookie defensive back Darnay Holmes, the Giants’ fourth-round pick out of UCLA in this year’s NFL Draft. The two have been working out together this summer.
