See it: Giants’ Malik Nabers hauls in first NFL touchdown

Watch New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers haul in his first NFL touchdown against the Washington Commanders.

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers failed to reach the endzone during his debut against the Minnesota Vikings last week but changed his fortunes on Sunday against the Washington Commanders.

With just seconds remaining in the first half and the Giants trailing by three, quarterback Daniel Jones stood strong in the pocket and allowed Nabers to find a little space.

Although he appeared to lose his feet, Nabers managed to snatch the ball out of the air for his first professional touchdown.

The score came after two far more impressive catches earlier on the drive where Nabers planted his foot into the ground, spun to the outside of a defender, and took it for a first down.

At halftime, Nabers has caught five passes for 73 yards and the aforementioned touchdown. It could have been more, but he and Jones failed to connect on a deep pass down the sideline earlier in the game — one that went off of Nabers’ fingertips.
