SEC power rankings after Week 5: Georgia comes back, Bama runs away, Kentucky fumbles it

SEC power rankings after Week 5:

Week 5 of the college football season is in the books and I’m slightly saddened that we are already nearing the halfway point of the regular season.

But what a weekend of football it was. It started with a great game between Kentucky and Ole Miss, a meeting that the Wildcats literally fumbled away. Alabama and Arkansas was extremely exciting, for the third quarter at least. Will Rogers and Mississippi State crushed Texas A&M, proving the Aggies were right there with Notre Dame and Oklahoma as the most overrated preseason teams. LSU came back from 17-0 to beat Auburn. And then there was Georgia, the No. 1 team in the nation, needing a fourth-quarter comeback to beat Missouri in Columbia. Tennessee had an off week as it prepares for back-to-back games against LSU and Alabama. And Florida plays on Sunday against Eastern Washington.

Here’s my updated power rankings, plus SEC championship odds (courtesy of BetMGM), following Week 5:
