It’s official. The Georgia Bulldogs and LSU Tigers will meet in the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 3 from Atlanta.
Georgia (10-0, 7-0) clinched the SEC East with its 45-19 win over Mississippi State. LSU (8-2, 6-1) won the West with a 13-10 win over Arkansas coupled with Alabama’s win over Ole Miss.
Meanwhile, Tennessee, which is still very much alive for the College Football Playoff, moved to 9-1 with a win over Mizzou, in which the Vols put up a school record 726 total yards. The story of the day, though, might be Vanderbilt snapping a 26-game SEC losing streak with a game-winning touchdown in the final minute vs. Kentucky. Florida beat South Carolina 38-6 and Auburn beat Texas A&M 13-10.
